A Gentle process to change phobias
A fear or phobia can often feel all-consuming, and many people develop strategies to avoid whatever they fear, often impacting their daily lives. Phobias are frequently created by a single event.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) uses a gentle process to help remove phobias. There is no need to confront the fear through gradual exposure or overwhelming “flooding,” both of which can feel like a very daunting prospect and may prevent people from taking the first step towards change.
Instead, I help you develop the resources you need to feel safe and in control, before guiding you to change how you perceive the phobia, so it no longer affects you in the same way. Where appropriate, you may wish to test your response after the session.
Some phobias can be resolved in a single session; however, a course of three sessions can provide more lasting results, particularly if there is more than one underlying cause.
